In combat, never stop moving. Extra armor can be found on a Glory or Chainsaw Kill with the use of Flame Belch. When it's quiet, stop and look for things. All the secrets can be found in a level with your current gear. Try to find extra lives. Take a tour of the Fortress of Doom.
