The Ancient Gods: Part One is a la carte and players don't have to own Doom Eternal to play it. After the consoles launch, players who own the game on PS4 or Xbox One will be able to upgrade for free to PS 5 or Xbox Series X. Aug 27, 2020 is when the new year will begin.
