The Resident Evil 7 Biohazard is terrifying, but the virtual reality mode is a letdown. With a sequel-cum-reboot like this working so well on both levels, it makes for a truly enjoyable horror game, one that hits heights reminiscent of the glory days of Resident Evil 4, as well as laying new groundwork for games to come.
