Is it a good idea to play Shadow of War before Shadow of War?

The Shadow of war was what I would start with. There is a recap at the start, and after sinking all that time into Shadow of Mordor, you may be burnt out on figuring mechanics because they are pretty similar, but Shadow of War's is slightly improved. War kept me hooked, even though I never finished Shadow of Mordor.
