Is it a good idea to play The Witcher 2 with a controller?

Walking is difficult with the controller because it doesn't have analog walk movement. I'm new to pc gaming and am not comfortable with keyboard and mouse for action games. Menus and combat are better with a controller. May 17th, 2011.
