What is the meaning of detonation bombs in fruit ninja?

In Zen or Arcade mode, slicing a peach gives the player two extra seconds. Bomb deflects allow the player to prevent Bombs from accidentally slicing them. If you slice the semi-rare starfruit, you can get it after each game.
