Shot gun rapid fire or machine gun recoil reduction are the first upgrades that I would get. Take the chemical thrower or Crossbow after that. The grenade launcher immunity damage is nice, but it is irrelevant if you consider it a non melee weapon. The new year began on Jan 1, 2009.
