Is Despicable Me The Same as Minions?

The first film in the franchise, Despicable Me, was released in 2010 followed by two more films, Despicable Me 2 and Despicable Me 3. In 2015, a spin-off of the movie, titled Minions, was released. The sequel to the movie, "Minions: The Rise of Gru," will be released in 2021.
